Updates on MYTHIC: Reading Submissions, Using Patreon, And More

Back again to give you the latest news on the development of MYTHIC: A Quarterly Science Fiction & Fantasy Magazine.

We've seen an uptick in the number of submissions since we've made some announcements and hope to spread the word even farther out so more people know there's a new magazine out there catering to broader visions of science fiction and fantasy stories.

I personally have started the reading process and have found some great work among the submissions thus far. As I get through them I'll start making some decisions about what stories will be chosen for our debut issue as well as what ones will be added to subsequent issues. It's my goal as editor to fill the first four issues of MYTHIC and I also plan to reveal the cover art once the content is finalized.

All of this is to say that I hope those of you interested in the goings-on around here are following the MYTHIC blog whether by email or feed reader. This is the place for updates on the status of our project.

With that in mind, I will now mention a very important update for all those interested in MYTHIC being a success and providing great pay rates for all of our authors and contributors. We have decided to use the crowdfunding platform Patreon to help us obtain the funding we need to pay for all our production costs and, in time, pay professional level rates for short fiction.
